Product Classification

The Department of Revenue's Liquor Distribution Team has modified the categories for liquor products. The liquor warehouse will have five product categories: Regular List, Warehouse Supply, Special Order, Promotional and Discontinued. Products will be reviewed semi-annually to determine the category where they belong.

Regular List products are located in the front of the price book, while Warehouse Supply and Special Order products are located in the back of the price book. Warehouse Supply and Special Order items are recognized by a specific symbol ("W") = Warehouse Supply, "S" = Special Order). Promotional and Discontinued items are not printed in the price book. The following information details the criteria and qualifications for each category.

  • Products that sell more than 100 cases annually
  • Products with $1000 or more in annual profit, with a minimum 24 cases annually
  • Products are available at all times during the year
  • Must be a bailed product

Note: If the qualifications above do not fill the warehouse or if the qualifications overfill the warehouse, products will be ranked by annual profit and/or case sales.

  • Special order products are not kept in stock in the warehouse
