Procedures

Here is a brief description of our forms and procedures.

Liquor Product Classification
We use five liquor categories to organize our inventory. The categories are "Regular List," "Warehouse Supply," "Special Order," "Promotional," and "Discontinued." Products will be reviewed semiannually (January & July) to determine their category. This information can be found on the previous web page.

Promotional Product Request Form
Montana liquor representatives will complete this form and submit it to the Liquor Distribution Team for approval prior to promoting a new product. This will allow our team to order the product and have it in stock during promotion. In the past, liquor representatives would promote new products to licensees and agents, and then the agents would order the product from the warehouse. This took a lot of unnecessary time due to the 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.

Our new process will allow the promotional products to be distributed at the same time the products are being promoted. Please read the criteria involved in having a product categorized as a promotional product very carefully. We encourage you to ask any questions you may have.

Out of Stock Sale Price Request Form and Procedures
This procedure and form is used when requesting a price adjustment for a product. For instance, use this form if you ordered a product during a month it was on sale, and we were unable to deliver it to you because the warehouse was out of stock. The form can be printed from our Internet site, Downloadable Forms section.

If you have any questions regarding any of these procedures or completing the applicable form, please feel free to call Mickey Carlson at (800) 332-6135.
